As the release of Twisted Metal approaches some unsettling news has been revealed about the game’s developer. The Salt Lake City Tribune reports that Eat Sleep Play has laid off eight employees and that co-founder David Jaffe has left to pursue “casual games”.
Eat Sleep Play will now have a staff of 26 and will move to iPhone and iPad game development. “It’s a platform that is in our pockets almost 24/7. It’s kind of the size and types of games we’re playing. You can certainly reach a lot more people. That’s pretty exciting for us.” Said co-founder Scott Campbell to the Salt Lake City Tribune.
Campbell also confirmed Jaffe’s depature, saying that Jaffe and the developer are “going down two seperate paths.”
