It was inevitable, and I’m surprised it hasn’t come sooner, but Valve has finally released a Steam app for Android and iOS. The app is currently in “limited” beta, and if you’d like to check it out, it’s first come, first served.
In terms of functionality, it’s fairly limited. Users can access their Steam friend’s list and chat, finally adding much needed mobility to the service. Also available is access to the Steam Shop, where users can purchase items for use on their PC or Mac. It is bare-bones right now, but you have to start somewhere!
